Kristy Cameron was born in Portland, Oregon and has been a Northwest girl her whole life.
​
Her first book 'Mitchell's Gift' is a guide to help parents cope with a premature baby in the Neo-natal Intensive Care Unit. The book has been purchased by hospitals across the United States to help parents learn about the upcoming journey with their preemie. It has also been a useful tool in nursing schools to help students understand what a parent is experiencing while in the NICU.

Kristy also writes fun children's books that are brimming with personality and vivid images that fire the imagination of children who are on the cusp of discovering the joy of reading. The stories reveal life lessons to a young mind and give shape to concepts like the harmful aspects of bullying, right and wrong, the value of patience, and learning from past experience. They accomplish the lessons with empathy, humor, and a sense of wonder.
The Adventures of Herb the Wild Turkey was written 10 years ago while on vacation. After kayaking and cycling around Galiano Island, my husband fell asleep on the couch of our remote cabin. To this day he swears that a turkey woke him up... (there wasn't a turkey on the whole island). You will understand when you read the book.

Ian grew up in Hedgesville, West Virginia doodling away the days in his sketchbook and painting murals on his bedroom walls. He currently lives in Portland, Oregon with his beautiful wife and two magical daughters frantically searching for the next store to illustrate.
